Pvt. Wade Hampton Teat, a member of Company F, was born in 1829 and died in 1910. He is buried in the cemetery at Mountain Creek Old Soldiers Home Confederate Park near Verbena, Alabama.

Camp Chase was located four miles southwest of Columbus, Ohio, and at one time held 9,400 southern prisoners. It was said that 25,000 Confederates passed through the prison. There are 2035 Sons of the South buried at Camp Chase Cemetery. Eleven of those are veterans of the 38th Alabama Infantry Volunteers.

Ezekiel Jones fought with Company E, 38th Alabama Infantry and is buried in Flatrock Cemetery in Evergreen, Alabama. According to Ancestry.com, "Civil War Compiled Military Service Records," there is an alternate name of Jones, Zedeck E.S.
