CAMP CHASE ROLL BOOK

This Camp Chase Roll Book belonged to John C.Green, Art Green's grandfather. Green kept this book when he was Barracks Sergeant of Barracks No.11. The original is in the Alabama Department of Archives and History.

On the left is a page that lists all the men of Company B who were imprisoned with Green at Camp Chase. The opposite page lists the 17 men of Mess 7 including Green himself.

The book has 18 pages and lists the members of each mess in the barracks along with a few notes, and one entry lists his mother, father and siblings back in Packer's Bend, Alabama.
